September Bead Journal Project Page Completed

And I am very happy that it's done. I learned quite a few things doing this page. First and foremost, that if I'm going to do something like this again that I'll attached the canes/vines/stems/whatevers first, then do the entire background, then apply the flowers/leaves/berries/whatevers. Attempting to do the background beading around all of the details was not pleasant - particularly for someone without a lot of experience like myself. But it's done and I'm pleased with it for the most part. I can see all the mistakes but I suppose that is normal. Now in the drawer it goes with all of it's sister pages waiting for binding.

Oh, yeah, one project and you learn never to do the sticky up and protrude over the edges stuff first. It is totally beautiful though.

I've been out of the loop for 2 weeks so hadn't seen your in-progress pictures... just came to your magnificent sunflower for the first time today... WOW!!!! I clicked to enlarge, which rewarded me with beautiful details... the center of the sunflower and the berries/vines!!!! It's all about learning and practice and finishing no matter what, but still, I'd say this one is a beauty!

I think you have taken these colors & produced something very outstanding. I can't see mistakes, but then we are our worse critic. I think you are on the track to wonderful work & this is a stunning piece.

Beautiful page. When making a spirit doll for my sister I found it so difficult to bead around some sequin flowers I took them off and beaded the background then reattached the sequins. Yes, it worked much better than going around them. But, your work is exquisite as usual no matter what the problems you think you have with it.

It really is beautiful! The texture begs to be touched and the warmth in the flower is overflowing into the vines and the berries! It really worked out well!!
