Not much to say

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands a few days ago and am pondering exactly how to continue doing art with hands that are failing me. In lieu of any new art, here are some pictures of some lovely beads made by some wonderful women on etsy.com. My pity party should end soon and I'll be posting more art.

Diane --

I have had arthritis since the age of nine. After leaving the damp climate of northern Ohio and moving to southern New Mexico, it has improved somewhat.

That said, may I tell you that the initial stages of this are the most aggravating and painful. BUT if you don't use your hands, it will be worse. You may not be as quick at things or as totally dextrous, but using those hands everyday is important.

You would not believe how many times I have to try to thread a needle or cuss at the fact that I cannot pick up a tiny bead with my fingers. But I use my needle tip instead and just keep on truckin'.

Hang in there!

I am sorry for you pain. I hope you are able to get relief and work through the rest. Keep those hands busy as you can, it will do wonders. Your eggs are adorable.
