November BJP Finally Finished!

This one took me a very long time - a page of conflict, it offered me lots of conflicts. I'm not very happy with it, but I'm glad it's done. I've started December and am back to my 'comfort zone' of cool colors.

Here's November

This is absolutely stunning! The contrast of the colors shows off the beauty of the design. To me, the end result show that there can be harmony even if there has been conflict.

The bold color combination challenges me to take more risks in my choices. Maybe I could move out of a monochromatic color scheme...

In your earlier post about this piece, you said it was a bit jarring. You also said that it needs a mirror, which it looks like you found (lower, a bit to the right?). You said it's about things/people that should go together, but don't. How do you feel about that now? I ask because to me it seems contrasty, yet harmonious... like the things and people DO go together. If I hadn't read anything you wrote, I'd say it was refreshing, cheerful, exciting and pleasing. And I love the mirror! Good for you that you finished it and are allowing yourself a return to the comfort zone!

Let's not talk about snow, ice or cold. Happy WHITE Christmas!!

i JUST LOVE THIS piece. The colors turquoise and orange really grab me. It feels organized to me. I dont see conflict here at all, the paths lead me somewhere good. Julie C

Wow! Conflicting colors - no. I rather like this combination - it's very stunning. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone, too. I love the pinks, blues, purples and I've tried to push myself to add oranges and greens, it's hard but I think this page was well worth it.

This page is very stunning - the color combo is incredible. I always find your beading very calming as I am looking at it, no matter your thoughts while you are doing it! I hope your mom is feeling better....

Your November piece looks beautiful and, without your written comments, does not give away that it was hard to do. I admire it!
