I have been sick with a bad cold that I brought home as a souvenir from ArtFest and have been stitching away on my March page which is now finally completed. I also have begun work on the April page - it's a real change from me, incorporating several fun items I received as gifts/trades at ArtFest as well as being another color combination I don't frequently use - orange/peach, light blue, lime green and brown - we'll see how that works out. But for now, here is March 09.

Absolutely great, Diane. I love everything about your March piece - colours, design, the snakes, the layering of beads ... Thank you for providing us with such eye candy.

Ohhhhh.....I love this one. Even with the snakes. Great movement and colour.
OMGOSH! This is so pretty and well beaded. OK, come clean. What were you thinking when you were beading. OK, I got it. March, St Pats Day, Snakes out of Ireland...anything else I missed. I sure love your focal beads especially the one in the lower left. Great Page!!
Have just stumbled across your blog and think your work is fantastic! Will add you as one I follow :-).
This whole series has been a joy to watch you develop, Diane. And March is absolutely wonderful!

WOW Diane - this is gorgeous!!!! Love all your pics from your time away from home... sounds like you had a blast! Thank you for sharing...!
Totally awesome, Diane! I can study this for a long time, pondering the snakes, the goddesses, the religious icons and the walls between them... This certainly is a history lesson in beads. I see it as a featured art piece in or on the cover of a scholarly book about the Irish civilization. Bravo!
Besides all that interesting stuff, it is facinating to view as a piece of beading - technically flawless as usual and complex! Yay!
Glad you're feeling better now... Robin A.
I understand why you have the "finally" in the title. This must have taken the whole month to complete. Totally worth the time and effort. Well done!
At first I went "Beautiful", then I looked close & went "EW", then I realized what it was about! :) It's a really great page!!! Now I have to go back & look at it again!
Warmest aloha,
CC
