Hello 2008!
I started and finished my December Bead Journal Project page yesterday. I had a vision in my brain - my memories of Christmas with those old funky ornaments that were bonuses for filling up your tank with 28 cent a gallon gas. Rows and rows of lights that were those old giant bulbs, not fiber optics or chasers or faux icicles. My memories of going to the nutcracker ballet every year. I had a great vision in my mind, but as sometimes (or oftimes) happens my fingers wouldn't do what my brain had in mind. I didn't like the page at all in the beginning but I wanted to try Robin's suggestion of just beading on, past the dislike for the page. So I didn't rip anything out and I just kept beading. I still don't 'love' the page, but I don't hate it either.
Happy New Year.

it certainly takes me back to those days...the ornaments and the colors are all right on!
and the little nutcracker beads are wonderful!
I love all the color. I especially like your bit of pine branch; it looks so realistic. Certainly looks like a December page.
This is cool, Diane!

I Loooove it! the best!
This page is great! love the feeling of it. Also love all the other work you are doing on your blog....
Enchy! I really like this page. It totally does say christmas to me - the colors are just like our christmas tree, and that branch is PERFECT!
Love the new baby dog and I remember gas at that price too. In fact I remember my dad yelling that we'd all be paying a quarter for (fill in the blank)______________ gallon of gas before he died. He was so right.
I've always found that many of things I dislike actively, others often like. So bead on! I've almost got my December page done and January is all thought out. February is forming in my mind.
I love this page, it is very festive and takes me back to the good old days of Christmas and December
